Many thanks to Thomas for inviting me to host some discussions here. Some things I might post about: omitting and refraining, negligence, the causal theory of action, kinds of moral responsibility, agency and "two-way" powers, agent causation. I'll get something going in a day or so. Feel free to add posts of your own during May. Looking forward to some lively discussions.
If Randy refrains from posting for a week, then he will be negligent and responsible (in at least the senses of failing to carry out his duty, being answerable for his omission, and deserving (mild) rebuke), since his omission will have been caused by a decision to refrain (and hence by a failure to form an intention to post), which we can assume he had the power to decide differently so as to (agent-cause?) an intention to post.
I couldn't resist (or could I?). Looking forward to it, Randy!
