Update: Featured Authors for 2016-2017

As I mentioned recently (see here), I am in the process of setting up the "program" for this year's Featured Author series. I have made quite a bit of headway (see below for details).  One important change moving forward is that while the authors will be featured on the blog for the entire month, they are only expected to blog for one week during that month. Hopefully, this not only makes it easier on the authors, but it also frees up space during the rest of the month for others to post, etc. Thanks to everyone for your earlier suggestions (which translated into invitations in several instances).  That said, here is what we have on tap here at Flickers of Freedom thanks to these Featured Authors:
