Love the article - agree with pretty much every thing you write. My only suggestion is that sometimes you talk about the negative effects of the gender binary but sometimes I think the more appropriate word might be cisnormativity. I say this because I think the problem isn't always primarily that there are only two genders but that cis-genders are considered "normal" and "better" than trans identities, seen as more valid, which fuels the reality that not passing as cis is an outcome that brings with it a huge loss of privilege. But I guess it all depends on how we are defining the gender binary, because you could just say that's implicit in the gender binary, or expand it to include other views like gender is immutable from birth (a common belief of conservatives).
